Four years is a long between records, however members of Blueline Medic have had a myriad of distractions from their third full-length recod. Interstate relocations, solo and side projects, University courses, and the ever-present need for paid work have all contributes to the periodic construction of their latest album, 42:19.
Recorded at sing song studios in Melbourne, followed by a long, considerable mixing session with production team, Hayden & Richie Buxton, Blueline Medic have created a rich and textured album in a pressure free environment which bands rarely appear to afford.
Drenched with their signature unabashed melodies and succinctly positioned harmonies, Blueline Medic have nailed an album of their very own classics while managing to extend their musical and production reach far beyond previous outings.
After forging a great relationship and releasing a very well received split EP with Ted Leo and The Pharmacists on Melbourne’s Casadeldisco in 2005, Blueline Medic decided to continue working with the label for the 42:19 album.
In this, their third full length album, Blueline Medic have clearly written their statement of intent, the album that will become a document recognised as a crowning moment in an already heady band history.
Soft Toy is the first single lifted from 42:19.
42:19 In store April 14 2007.
