The brand new single featuring 2 new studio tracks and 2 Australian exclusive remixes.
Juxtaposing punk-rock energy with new-way smarts, Damn Arms comprise frantic drumming, caustic, screeching guitar; celestial synth work and driving bass to create songs that will have you cursing all your limbs for their innate urge to move.
Under production direction of Nick Littlemore (PNAU, Teenager) new single Home Wrecker takes that wild tangle and machines it down to one brilliant song.
The band have just returned to MELBOURNE from six weeks in the UK and Europe. Supports spots for Forward Russia were combined with sold out headline shows in London and Paris.
'Home Wrecker' is slated for UK release through indie Something In Construction this month and the band are booked to return to UK in May as part of the Great Escape Festival in Brighton alongside the likes of CSS, The Rakes, The Magic Numbers and Good Shoes.
NME joined more underground media in showing the band due regard this year. Acting NME editor James Jam said "I like my pop to tear my face off. It is for this reason I love Damn Arms who produce music which can only be described as Ministry covering Atari Teenage Riot, and are a twisted, glorious, violent delight".
This UK tour followed a bunch of Japanese dates that included a sold out Tokyo show and the Patterns EP release through uber hip indie Ralley (known for launching Klaxtons in Japan).
Move back into 2006, and you’ll find Damn Arms playing sold-out run of UK shows with hardcore indie sensations Test Icicles, the UK release of 'Patterns' EP, and east coast tours at home with The Kills, The (International) Noise Conspiracy & Something for Kate.
Go Further back, into late 2005, and you'll find the starting line of Damn Arms, four guys from Melbourne with a passion for new-wave pioneers New Order, famed DJ Jacques Le Cont, and seminal shoe grazers My Bloody Valentine. Damn Arms execute with digital precision and intensity. Don't let their pasty hides fool you, it covers a quartet of hearts and souls blacker than a black man's cape!
Home Wrecker is out now on Timberyard.
