Daysend

Daysend"Daysend know exactly when to be brutal and when to switch on the silken melodies and heart rendering dynamics" UK Kerrang! KKKK review.

Fusing an array of musical genres to create a hard edged yet melodic sound, Daysend are a veritable melting pot of styles and influences ranging from thrash to hard rock and good old fashioned heavy metal.

The explosive Sydney five piece rocketed into existence in 2003 with all the passion and determination that has propelled them to the very top of their country's heavy music scene. Later that year the band released their debut album 'Severance' which was voted by listeners of high rating radio station Triple J as no 1 Australian metal album of that same year.

Within a short time they were tearing up the nation’s highways and skyways on almost a weekly basis, sharing the stage with not only Australia's best metal acts but high profile international acts such as Slipknot, Hatebreed, Machine Head, In Flames, Chimaira, The Haunted, Strapping Young Lad, Entombed and Skinlab. Before long, the legendary American label 'Metal Blade Records' caught site of the band and scooped them up.

Praise for 'Severance' poured in, and as a result they scored a highly converted spot on Californian Metallers OTCP North American tour in 2005, along with Gizmachi, Devilinside, Manntis, and Suicide City. For six weeks they raged and rampaged across the USA gaining a multitude of fans along the way. Come 2007, Daysend have joined forces with aggressive heavy metal record label Faultline Records and thrown aside expectation to explore new depth and dynamic with the release of their second album, aptly titled 'The Warning'.
